Hatai Bangkok is Narai Hospitality Group's mixed-use redevelopment of the former Narai Hotel site on Silom Road. Designed by Heatherwick Studio, it will bring together two hotels, dining, retail, wellness and public spaces. The project remains under construction, with different opening dates announced for the development and its hotels.
Hatai Bangkok Construction Update
The official Hatai website reports 32% overall progress as of August 2026. Its construction timeline records the installation of the first facade panels on 5 May 2026, following demolition of the original Narai Hotel and Triple Two Silom buildings in 2022.
These are dated developer updates, not confirmation of a completed building or a guaranteed opening schedule.
When Will Hatai Bangkok Open?
The published opening plans distinguish the overall destination from the individual hotels:

Narai Hotel, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt: Narai Hospitality Group announces early 2028 in its hotel announcement.
Six Senses Bangkok: the hotel brand's announcement gives 2028, with around 100 rooms and suites, interiors by BAR Studio and a 700-square-metre suite designed by Joyce Wang.
These announcements should not be read as confirmation that every part of Hatai will open simultaneously. Opening plans remain subject to change.
Lantern-Inspired Architecture on Silom Road
Heatherwick Studio draws on traditional Thai lanterns for Hatai's stacked, rounded forms. At street level, the design includes planted public areas, a restored canal and elevated walkways.
